The first chapel was build here in the year 1200. After being demolished in 1583 the chapel was rebuild in 1635. There are stories about some wonderful healings at this place. One of them: May 24, 1754 the blind Judoca Dierckens could see again after visiting the chapel. Thereafter a lot of pilgrims found there way to the chapel. It is still being visited by many pilgrims. This chapel, 13 meters length and 7 meters bread, was build in 1863, neo baroque style, by architect Joseph Nimmegeers of Zaffelare. Outside one can find the 15 mysteries of the Rosary in niches in the walls of the chapel.
