Sint-Catharinakerk – Wachtebeke, Belgium - This Old Church on Waymarking.com

This church is a gothic three hall church, dedicated to Saint Catharina of Alexandria. From 1199 till 1550 there was already a one nave church with a eight corner tower. On a map from 1580 one can see a church with one nave and two aisles. The church was build orientated to the east, to Jerusalem and is constructed with bricks. There is clearly a difference between the oldest part absis – nave - bell tower and the rest of the construction (build 17th - 18th century).
