After the miraculous finding of a Statue of the Holy Mary under a linden tree in 1511 a chapel was build and pilgrims all over the land came to view this miracle. A ‘Way of the Cross’ was build but destroyed by the French in 1799. In 1848 a new ‘Way of the Cross’ for the pilgrims was build. In the year 1969 this was renewed on a new site a cross the chapel and this cross stands in the middle of the terrain.
