Moose Jaw Court House

This building is the first example of the system of new district facilities commissioned by the Government of Saskatchewan after the formation of the province in 1905.  Completed in 1909, its atypical of later Saskatchewan court houses and the only one designed by Daring and Pearson, the noted Toronto architects who served, very briefly, as the province's first official architects.  The classical dignity imparted to this structure by is flanking entrance columns and dominant entablature strongly reflects the styling of numerous of the architects' contemporary commercial designs. ~ text of plaque
