A beautiful way to explore this side of East Flanders (Waasland). The complete way has a length of 32 kilometers through Wachtebeke, Moerbeke, Stekene en Eksaarde (Lokeren). We start on the ‘Moervaart’, a canalized part of the river ‘Durme’, at the Kalvebrug. First we pass by the nature reserve ‘Reepkens’ in our way towards Mendonk, one of the oldest settlements of East-Flanders. Then we follow the meandering Zuidlede , passing another nature reserve ‘Turfmeersen’ back into the Moervaart. We row under four picturesque bridges to our starting point.
