Inactive lock on the White Water Canal. The lock now holds a water wheel that is used to power the adjacent working grain mill. The mill was built to take advantage of the water power from the canal.

Lock 25 was part of the White Water Canal, and the town of Metamora grew up nearby, and is quite the tourist attraction. The town retains the character of a mid 19th century town. Many quaint period buildings now house shops. Nice day trip from Cincinati or Indianapolis areas. The state runs a canal boat on the section downstream from this lock. Other locks can be seen downstream.
