A visit to this museum starts along a flag-lined drive into the parking lot. Once there, an impressive entrance is flanked by two statues. The visitor will see a growing collection of memorabilia, particularly vehicles, from World War Two. Their collection includes tanks, personal transportation (including motorcycles and bicycles) and airplanes, representing both Allied and Axis forces. They have some very rare and well-kept specimens of vehicles and personal items as well. Historic documents are also on display, as well as photos, and explanations / background plaques. The displays are still growing and being added to, so each trip allows the visitor to discover something new! It's simply amazing to see some of the vehicles and realize that they were used in combat situations - AND how many people they could pack into a VERY small space in some of those tanks! Once you're done touring the World War 2 museum, you can also stop by the gift shop and at the new James Dean exhibit also being housed here. The admission costs are: Regular Adult Admission $10 Seniors (ages 55 and over) $8 Children (ages 7-12) $6 Non-WWII Veterans and Active Military Servicepeople $4 WWII Veterans (with ID) Free Children (under age 7) Free Family Pass (Two adults and dependent children) $25 Group Rates are also available.
