Ditsworthy Warren was one of the many commercial rabbit warrens on Dartmoor , at one time taking up nearly 1,100 acres. Rabbits were once an important source of food. Rabbit farming was banned in the 1950's, but the remains of the sixteenth century Ditsworthy Warren House can still be seen, as well as the house there are several ruined granite outbuildings.
