Fort Lewis Military Museum focuses on the history of the fort and the soldiers who have served at the fort. The museum also has a large collection of ground equipment including numerous tanks, guns, several missiles and a Huey helicopter.
To access the museum you will first need to acquire a pass to be on the fort grounds. Enter through the main gate (follow signs off of I-5) and proceed to the Visitor Center. You will need to provide a driver's license, proof of insurance, car registration, and your social security number. After you have clearance, head north and cross under the freeway. Follow the signs to the musueum.
Opening hours: 12-4, Wednesday through Sunday
Open all year: Except for some holidays
