Boulders from each of Michigan's 83 counties make up this pyramid that is dedicated to Hugh J. Gray - "Dean of Michigan's Tourist Activity." At least he was in 1938 when it was built. Each of the stones has the county of origin etched into it.
The pyramid is marked that it is halfway between the equator and the North Pole, but by my GPSr it is about 3.6 miles south of the 45th parallel.
