Texola is a ghost town. When Rt 66 was bypassed by the interstate it was one of the towns that died along with it. This state line was moved many times in this area until the government came along and ordered it placed where it is now. It's said that in the early days of 66, some people changed states several times without even moving. We took this picture on the Oklahoma side.
