The west cemetery is in three sections which in earlier years were probably connected as one cemetery. The cemetery was the final resting place of early caretakers and white settlers of the area. The number of graves is hard to estimate because many of the graves are unmarked and in a wooded area, however it estimated to be in the low hundreds.
