The bridge at Horrabridge built in the 13th century is an ancient parish boundary marker between the parishes of Walkhampton, Sampford Spiney, Whitchurch and Buckland Monachorum, there is a stone in the centre of the bridge on the down stream side of the road with an incised cross that marks the point where the parishes used to meet.
