This caboose is behind the Ohio Historical Society in the "Ohio Village" area. The Ohio Village is normally only open to groups by appointment, however, the caboose can be easily seen from inside the Historical Society building.

This caboose shows the number C-2824. It was built in 1945 and was the last "wagon top" railroad car to come of of the B&O assembly line.

It was donated to the Ohio Historical Society by CSX in 1987. At that time it was only one of six wagon top cabooses that were still in service.
