Daltech Armillary - Sundials on Waymarking.com

Located in the front lawn of the Daltech building on Spring Garden road, this sundial is an armillary sphere measuring about 3 feet in diameter. According to the plaque, it was "Erected by TUNS Industiral Engineering Class of 1997, with the kind gift of materials and expertise from Halifax Shipyard Limited -- February 21, 1997>" The middle of the shadow indicates local apparent time, and the plaque provides a correction chart for different times of year.
