Here on the northern banks of River Rönne, there was once town, the mediarval town of Luntertun.
In 1516 the town rights were transferred to the new town of Ängelholm, and after that the church in likely to have been pulled down.
The Luntertun church was built in the 15th century, of granite.
Restructuring entailed an extensiop to the south.
In connection with the erection of the vauts, the church acquired its navecurm-aides design.
At the same time, a tower was constructed in the west.A porch to the south was a later addition.
By the eastern walls of the aisles, the foundations of two side-altars have been discovered.
This church once possessed vault frescoes of kind that can still be seen in the churches of Barkåkra and Båstad.
Of the Luntertun church, a ruin measring 22 by 38 metes is all that remains.
Two mounds in its interior probably mark the places where buttresses once stood.
