P.S.: Counting all European cities, not only capitals, the most commonly named place would be Manchester with 36 hits, but that is not a capital. Besides, counting all the other towns named Berlin in Canada, Brazil, Ecuador, Australia and South Africa and a volcano in Antarctica, the German capital would still be the winner.
