This is a short trail off the top of the mountain that holds Iwakuni Castle. Bike out the "Nature Walk" road at the waypoint here. When you get to the shrine stairs, hang a left and it will take you out to an overlook. The trail continues on but not sure yet where it dumps you out.
A bike out to the overlook and back will take you a bit of time because you'll need to lug your bike up some of the sandbag stairs, but this gives you a good preview of the ride back.
