This EMS station used to be a firehall before a newer building was built up the hill at Northhill Mall. This location is one of the City's geoposts.
"Emergency Medical Services operates mostly out of existing City of Calgary Emergency Response Stations. In 1996 however, the Department opened the first EMS geopost.
The department operates 43 response vehicles. Of those vehicles, 23 full-transport units operate 24 hours per day, 16 units operate 12 hours per day and a 24-hour air medical crew is stationed in the Calgary International Airport. Additionally, the department operates 3 Paramedic Response Units 24 hours per day, 4 field trainers 12 hours per day and 3 superintendent 24 hours per day. " (City of Calgary)
