There are plenty of "wombat crossing" signs in Australia, but this is the first one I have seen where the wombat is bandaged.

The reason for the bandages is that the sign is on the road outside the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) - warning motorists to slow down for the animal traffic. The RSPCA have a great TV ad too, with a variety of animals walking past in bandages.
