[FR] Cette chapelle s'élève en un lieu fertile en miracles.
Le premier se situerait au 10e s., époque des invasions vikings. Une lagune, à l'emplacement de l'actuelle baie de la Grée, abritait les vaisseaux des pirates. Une énorme tempête, soulevée par la prière de St Gildas, en barra l'entrée d'un banc de sable et en fit un étang. Les bateaux y restèrent pourrir...
Le second, au 17e s., fut l'oeuvre de deux apparitions : un homme et une femme brandissant une quenouille, tous deux à l'attitude si résolue qu'ils épouvantèrent l'ennemi anglais de l'époque, prêt à débarquer.
Le vitrail, derrière l'autel, identifie cette femme à la Vierge et oublie l'homme (St Gildas ?).

The first would be at 10th century, time of the Vikings invasions. A lagoon, with the site of current bay of Grée, sheltered the vessels of the pirates. An enormous storm, raised by the prayer of Saint Gildas, barred of it the entry of a sand bank and made a pond of it. The boats remained there to rot…
The second, at 17th century, was the work of two appearances: a man and a woman holding up a distaff, both with the attitude so determined that they terrified the English enemy of the time, ready to unload.
The stained glass, behind the altar, identifies this woman with the Virgin and forgets the man (Saint Gildas?).
