The A4 is the motorway which starts near Zürich and heads south through central Switzerland. It is disjoint and work is ongoing to join the different sections. At this location it narrows to a two lane highway in order to negotiate the steep cliff which towers over the Urner See. It will probably be a long time before this section is made into a motorway.
The lookout is only accessible when heading south. There are restrooms but no catering here.
