The Australia Zoo is located on the Sunshine Coast of Australia near the Glasshouse Mountains in Beerwah, Queensland.
The park started off back in 1970 with 4 acres, it was called the Beerwah Reptile park, later it was renamed Queensland Reptile & Fauna Park and another 4 acres were added on. The zoo grew and grew until it was renamed once more in 1992, Australia Zoo. Robert Irwin and his wife started the park and worked hard to build it into a magnificent zoo. Steve took over and along with his wife, Terri, we all know what they have done to increase public awareness about Wildlife Conservation.
Their crocoseum seats 5000 people!
If you're ever on the Sunshine Coast do not miss the Australia Zoo.
Admission to the park is $49.00 for adult, $29.00 for children. They have a family 4 pack for $146.00 or a family 5 pack for $160.50
