This Celtic cross overlooks the Dart Valley at Hexworthy was erected to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. The granite was provided by Merrivale Quarry on West Dartmoor.
The inscription reads
"VR 1837 - 1897 Also to the glory of God in commemoration
of the 60 years of Queen Victoria's reign."
