Six Flags Great America is the main amusement park draw for the Chicago and Milwaukee areas. The main focus is on the roller coasters, but there are also the water rides, scramblers, and other spinner rides.
Slowly, over the past few years, the park has been adding more and more kiddie rides for the Under 5 age group and has backed away from the dominate roller coasters as the main thrust.
During the main season, the Hurricane Harbor Water Park is open from 11:00 to 6:00 (some times longer), and it is part of your admission fee.
TIP: You do not need to rent a blue tube. The only benefits are:
1) If it is crowded, you have your tube and not waiting for one.
2) You are not limited to one circuit on the Lazy River.
The roller coaster inventory includes:
American Eagle (48-inch min.)
Waymark WM21DV
Batman the Ride (54")
Waymark WM23A5
Deja Vu (54")
Demon (42")
Waymark WM4HW1

This park is seasonal. It opens on weekends in May and does not open everyday until Memorial Day weekend (although some days are limited hours). The park then goes back to weekends-only around Labor Day weekend which last until the weekend around Halloween.
Recommendation: Visit on a Tuesday or Thursday if you can. The park is much less crowded.
