Potsdam, Germany - City and Town Halls on Waymarking.com

In August 2007, I visited the country where I was born. Potsdam was one of the towns I used to live in.

Until 1945, Potsdam's city council resided in the Old City Hall at Nicolai Square. That building was heavily damaged during one of the last battles of World War II and the city council moved to a new building where it remained ever since. The building was designed as an administrative building in 1902 and was built from 1902-1907.

City Halls in Germany are often very distinctive buildings that don't need special signs. Only the bus stop indicates that this is indeed the city hall (Rathaus).
