The White Sulphur Springs Train Station was built in 1930-1931, as part of the C & O Railroad's rebuilding program. This depot replaced a wooden structure that had fallen into disrepair in the early 1900's. When passenger service ended on the C & O line, the Greenbrier Resort purchased the station and used it as a gift shop and Christmas store. When Amtrak Passenger Service resumed in the early 1970's the station once began serving railway passengers, while retaining it's Christmas Theme.
Today the White Sulphur Springs Station is still owned by the Greenbrier Resort and retains its Christmas Theme while serving arriving and departing Amtrak Passengers.
