The M-60 Battle Tank entered service in 1960. It weighs 55 tons and carries a crew of four. It is armed with a 106 MM man gun, capable of fording 48" of water, and reaching a speed of 30 MPH. Chrysler General Dynamics produced 10,326 M-60 series tanks between the years 1959 and 1978 at the Detroit Army Tank Palnt.
The Auglaize township historical society acquired the M-60 A3 tank serial No. 2151A on March 14, 1996.
