The stone comes from the Brandeck region and is presumably a Menhir from prehistoric times. It was uncovered some 80 cm deep in the roadway of the Brücklesbühndstraße.

The area in which the stone is found is partly industrial and partly agricultural.

You can park your car right next to the stone.

Just across the road is the ruin of an ancient Roman bath.
