On the aptly named Church Street is another of Butler's late Gothic Revival churches, the Bethany Reformed Church, erected in 1911. This church has perhaps the most beautiful stained glass in Butler.

In 1882, St. Paul’s Reformed Church built a new house of worship in suburban Springdale, across Connoquenessing Creek from Butler. Some members of St. Paul’s congregation refused to move to the new church. They formed their own congregation, the Bethany Reformed Church.
