Located in Rose Hill Cemetery in the town of Camanche, IA is a small plaque mounted on a rock.
The Plaque says, "Sacred to the Memory of those who parished in the Camanche Tornado, June 3, 1860".

The Tornado killed 29 people and destroyed a school, churches, businesses, warehouses, hotels, stables, and over 228 homes.
