The declaration of war was given on July 9th, 1932. The state thought it would get support from other southern states (but it didn't) The war ended on October 2, 1932. Sao Paulo state used 10,000 men from the state police force, 3.635 from the armed forces and almost 20 thousand volunteers.
The plaque is located in the Parque Ipupiara.
