A well maintained family cemetery plot on Fort Ord Public Lands. I don't know the history of the plot, but it has a wonderful view and it was meticulously maintained when the Army had an active base here.

Five headstones, a cross and a low bordering fence are all that you'll see at this lonely little plot.  Reading the headstones you can glean a bit of information.  The graves are very old, the individuals died very young, and it appears that they were moved to this site, perhaps because the Army needed the area where they originally rested.  I couldn't find out much by searching on the internet, but if anyone has some additional information, please post it in your log..

I posted the main headstone on the information part of this Waymark, but there was no specific dates on Mary's birth or death  (1899-1935).  I'm assuming that this family was one of the early settlers of the area, but much more than that I can't tell.

First Name: Mary

Last Name: Pearson
