The town of Conwy sits on the shore of Afon Conwy (Conwy River) at the head of the Conwy estuary. The town is the site of a famous castle built by the English King Edward the 1st between 1283 and 1289, which is visited every year by visitors from all around the world. The town also boasts a famous suspension Bridge built by the great British engineer Thomas Telford and a railway Bridge built by fellow engineer Robert Stephenson.
