This Muffler man has been converted to a miner and stands outside the Stamper Black Hills Gold Jewelry store along Highway 16 in South Dakota.

This muffler man has undergone a few changes. Originally he was the standard cowboy and he held a branding iron. Later, to fit with the gold mining theme he was given a pickaxe. Most recently, in 2000 he was painted up with a Harley Davidson belt buckle and his shirt has a HD emblem painted on it.
Look for him along highway 16 about 5 miles southwest of Rapid City.
