Lost River Valley Campgrounds is located in North Woodstock, NH. We just stayed there for 8 nights. They have 135 wooded campsites, most of them right along a nice little stream. They accomodate trailers up to 32 feet in length. They have full hookup, tent sites and a few cabins for rent as well. Lost River offered a general store, a gameroom, a playground for the kids, a small pond for swimming along with rentals of kayaks, and peddle boats, tether-ball, a wooden pirate ship, a wooden train, tennis courts and basketball courts. They had 2 large restrooms with pay showers, and a gameroom and a ping-pong pavillion. Our family enjoyed it mostly for it's centralized location. It is well suited for trips into VT and Maine as well as exploring the beautiful Franconia National Forest and all the terrific hiking opportunities in the area. Only well-behaved pets were welcome and from what we saw they did seem well behaved. Prices vary. For a wooden stream front with water and electric the cost was $32.50 per night for 2 adults, anyone else is charged $2.00, so we brought our 3 boys along and paid an additional $6.00 per night.
