The Barrel of the tank points towards the 'Koppie' where the battle of Rooihuiskraal took place during the Anglo Boer War on 12 February 1881.
The Centurion Battle Tank was handed over to the Mayor of Centurion on 29 June 1998.
Explain to the security that you are at the Rooihuiskraal grounds to look at the tank and they will let you in for no charge.
Location restrictions: The location is open to the general public at a cost. If you are just there to see the tank, they will let you in for free.
