This relocated structure is currently the Wolcott Historical
Societys' Carriage House Museum.

This relocated structure was originally located on Main Street
behind a prominent members residence and was used as the carriage
house for the owner. The original house was removed many years
ago, however, the carriage house remained on the property. When
the current owner wanted to expand on the business located on the
adjacent property, they offered the carriage house to the local
historical society, with the provisions that it must be relocated.
The historical society struggled to come up with the estimated
$100,000 needed for the move, but with local Congressman help,
the monies needed were appropriated. The building was moved to
land donated to the society for the placement of the museum.
