Créé en 1863 et destiné aux courses d'obstacles, l'hippodrome de Vincennes est largement détruit durant la guerre de 1870. Entièrement reconstruit en 1879, il accueille alors ses premières courses de trot, cette seconde vocation sera la bonne.
Entrepris en 1976, la restauration et le remaniement complets de l'hippodrome en font l'un des lieux les plus modernes et les plus fonctionnels pour les professionnels comme pour le public, passionné par les courses qui s'y déroulent : plus de 750 000 entrées à l'hippodrome sont comptabilisées chaque année ! Outre les deux pistes et des tribunes extérieures et intérieures, un écran géant de 118 m2, unique en Europe, et un réseau vidéo intérieur ont été aménagés. Des espaces de restauration et de détente, pouvant recevoir quelque 2 000 visiteurs, achèvent de faire de ce lieu l'un des grands temples du trot.
La renommée de son programme, au premier rang duquel le fameux Prix d'Amérique, est internationale.

Created in 1863 and intended for the obstacle races, the hippodrome of Vincennes is largely destroyed during the war of 1870. Entirely rebuilt in 1879, it then accomodates its first trotting races, this second vocation will be the maid.
Undertaken in 1976, the complete restoration and the rehandling of the hippodrome do of it one of the most modern places and most functional for the professionals as for the public, impassioned by the races which proceed there: more than 750.000 entries to the hippodrome are entered each year! In addition to the two tracks and external and interior platforms, a giant screen of 118 m2, single in Europe, and an interior video network were arranged. Spaces of restoration and relaxation, being able to receive some 2.000 visitors, complete to do of this place one of the large temples of trot.
Fame of its program, the first of which the famous "Prix d'amérique" is international.

L'hippodrome de Vincennes est ouvert toute l'année et 153 réunions de trot ont lieu chaque année. Le trot est réservé aux chevaux qui sont nés et ont été élevés en France (à l'exception du Grand Prix d'Amérique)
