This zinc headstone of John G. Carey is located in Country Line Cemetery on the outskirts of downtown Watkins Glen. The cemetery appears to be mostly abandoned, or at least not maintained, as the grass has not been cut in some time.
The back panel on the headstone is missing, and I saw no signs of it anywhere. It also appears that the headstone is a part of a family plot that is separated from nearby plots by a steel rail. Directly in front and to the side are two very small stone markers, presumably for John and perhaps his wife. However they were illegible, so this is uncertain.
