The Plaque reads: "Victorian Grammar School, Here between 1837
to 1888 were housed the town's grammar school and the Master's house.
Among the first pupils were W.H.Smith, after its closure for some years it was a doctor's surgery."
A few years ago it was an old peoples home, when it closed it was converted into flats.
