Built in 1962, the Rose Bowl has become a Tulsa icon and a Route 66 landmark.
Chris Whinery and his uncle recently purchased the Rose Bowl, a 30,000+ sq. ft. double parabolic dome structure, maybe triple. It's freaking huge!
They are unfortunately deed restricted from opening it back up as a bowling alley, so they're thinking night club. As we were taking pictures, Chris pulled up and we were led through the place, and left with a piece of history gifted to us. A shelf for the bowling balls. How cool is that? And we don't even bowl!!
