The Glasgow Tower stands adjacent to the Glasgow Science Centre and the IMAX cinema in what used to be the old Princes Dock area which has now been renamed the Pacific Quay on the outskirts of Old Govan

The Tower is probably the World's tallest (440ft) fully functional Wind Vane and has an external scenic lift up to an observation platform at the top. It was opened in February 2001 but technical problems have beguiled the lift since then but hopefully these will shortly be overcome which will allow the visitor to view some spectacular views of the Clyde river valley.
