This bench mark is located cut into a large Granite rock which is built into the wall of the road that leads from Ponsworthy to Lock's gate Cross. It has spot height of 261.9695m (860.1ft) above the Newlyn Datum. It is marked on the 1886 OS map of Devon and was last verified by OS in 1950.
