Just after takeoff, a private single engine aircraft disappeared from the radar shortly after the pilot asked for an immediate right turn. Two hours later rescuers arrived to find the bodies of two men inside the wreckage.

Dr. Denton, one of the owners of the plane stated that his wife had flown the plane earlier in the day. All of the airworthiness certificates are good. A Level 5 storm was moving into the area, but had not reached the airport yet. It was raining at the time of the takeoff.

The coordinates are for a public road near the crash site, which is on private property.
