The futuristic Key Arena, with its radical suspended ceiling was designed by Seattle architect, Paul Thiry, for the 1962 Century 21 Exposition in Seattle. Thiry guided the fairground's overall planning along with Seattle architect, Victor Steinbruck.
The building underwent a major remodel in the late 1990's and is now called the Key Arena, most notable for being home to the Seattle Supersonics and the Seattle Storm basketball teams and the Thunderbirds hockey team.
