Northbridge Massachusetts has a long history in the Industrial Revolution. The village of Whitinsville was once home of the largest textile manufacturer in world.
Whitin Machine Works, once located here was situated just up the street to the left in the pictures. As with most textile mills in the area, the structures are being used for other purposes.
Memorial Square was at one time a bustling place of commerce. While it is still active, it is much less prominent these days.
In the photos the Old Northbridge High School can be seen. Today, 2 high schools later, it is used for Pre-school.
