The Crystal Cathedral is a fine example of this style of architecture. The building is a blend of the overt use of glass panes that comprise the unique arrangement of the facets. There is nothing on the building to detract from the glass faces.

The outer skin of the building is marked by the over 10,000 panes of glass that cover the Cathedral. Inside, the building's architecture is quite different. The glass facets give way to the dominating features of the lattice of steel beams that provide the support as an internal skeleton and the $2 million dollar organ. At the push of a button, two windows near the centerline of the cathedral will cause them to open allowing in the sunshine and fresh air during the services.

This building is the church home of thousands who attend the services at the Cathedral or tune into the services through the televised "Hour of Power" program. The services that are led by Pastor Robert Schuller, often feature famous guests to provide their inspirational message to those in attendance.
