The Wonderland Trail is one of the jewels of the Cascade trail systems. Considered by some to be the best distance hike of the Cascades, this 93 mile loop definitely gives hikers a taste of all the Cascades have to offer, including alpine and subalpine meadows, rocky crags and dense old growth forests.
These coordinates are for one of the main starting points, the Longmire Historic District, however there are also spots near Sunrise and further east at Paradise, where you can also start up on your trek. As with all wilderness hikes in the Cascades, a permit (free) is required to hike the trail. Permits can be acquired at the Wilderness Information Center adjacent to the trailhead. Allow a minimum of 10 days to complete the loop.
Parking is available near the trailhead at Longmire.
