Cuckoo Rock is a very large rock on southern Dartmoor it stands overlooking the Deancombe Valley amongst old field boundaries. There are several farms in this area which were closed down when the reservoir was built around 1900. This rock is very popular with visitors all year round. I am not sure why it is called Cuckoo Rock, but there was a cuckoo singing its little heart out while I was photographing the rock!
